Air Conditioning for Static Homes
In the UK, not all static caravans are fitted with an air conditioning unit.
However, due to the extreme changes in the English weather system, there are times when an AC unit would be a godsend.
Kent Refrigeration are committed to bringing the benefits of air conditioning to everyone. We can now supply high quality heating and cooling units for installation in your static caravan. These air conditioning units are equipped with a reversing cycle and can cool in the summer and heat in the winter, they are specially designed for static caravans and energy efficient.
Our high quality installation services mean we
can normally install a system in most static homes in just one day, but this is dependent on the size and type of home, and subject to a free site survey and quotation prior to the work.
If you already own a home with air-conditioning, it will need maintaining and occasionally need repairs, so why not trust Kent Refrigeration to look after your home away from home, we are specialists in this area.
Since Jan 1st 2015, any refrigeration equipment on your site containing R22 refrigerant gas (an HCFC), will need to be replaced or adjusted.
R22 is the refrigerant gas found in the majority of air-conditioning equipment that is over ten years old, and because it is an HCFC gas, it has been proven to cause damage to the atmosphere and depletion of the ozone layer.
It is now illegal to use R22 gas or to maintain/service any equipment which uses R22 gas, meaning that companies need to look to replacement phase outs to stay legally compliant.
We are specialists here at Kent Refrigeration and can discuss various
options and cost effective methods for doing this, including -
• Replace the whole refrigeration installation with a new system
• Re-use the existing pipe work (and possibly wiring) and install a new
condensing unit and evaporator coil that operate on HFC refrigerants
Any process involving handling of HCFC refrigerant must be carried out by experienced and qualified personnel under the F Gas Regulations.

Air Source Heat Pump Installations
Air source heat pumps absorb heat from the outside air. This heat can then be used to heat radiators, underfloor heating systems, or swimming pools and hot water in your home.
An air source heat pump extracts heat from the outside air in the same way that a fridge extracts heat from its inside. It can get heat from the air even when the temperature is as low as -15° C. Heat pumps have some impact on the environment as they need electricity to run, but the heat they extract from the ground, air, or water is constantly being renewed naturally.
The benefits of air source heat pumps
• Lower fuel bills, especially if you are replacing
conventional electric heating
• potential income through the UK government’s
Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)
• lower home carbon emissions, depending on which fuel you are replacing
• no fuel deliveries needed
• can heat your home as well as your water
• minimal maintenance required
• easier to install than a ground source heat pump
